How I Met My Best Friend:


I grew up hearing about and believing in Jesus, but He never really seemed to be someone I thought I needed in my life. I had a great family that took care of me, and I had great friends, what more could I want? 
A few years ago my grandma died suddenly and I came to a point in my life when I realized I needed someone bigger in my life than my grandma, my family or friends. My life felt like it was falling apart and I couldn’t hold it together on my own. I needed Jesus. It was then that I decided to give my life over to God. I told God that I knew I wasn’t perfect, but that I knew He was and so was His Son Jesus. I told Him that I wanted to live my life forever with Him at the center and by my side forever. I knew that in order to make this decision I had to ask God for forgiveness for all the wrong things I had done. I had to believe that God sent His son, Jesus, to die for me and take the punishment for the wrong things that I had done in my life, so that I could then be right with God and live forever with him in heaven when I die. I believed this with all my heart and prayed to God that day.  

Since I made God the number one thing in my life, my life hasn’t been easy, but it has been an amazing journey! God is Bigger than all things! He gives me peace and guidance in hard times, He forgives me when I mess up and He never leaves me! He is not just an amazing friend, He is an amazing God!
